About
The right part for the system you are actually building.
Aeon Photonics is the photonics division of Aeon Innovations LLC, an independent U.S. company. We help teams in aerospace, defense, robotics and industrial measurement choose, customize and qualify laser and optoelectronic components. Our manufacturing partners have been building laser diodes since 1998 and own every step from epitaxy to finished module.
What we do
Start with the constraint. We tell you what is possible.
Most component decisions start at a catalog and work backwards. We start where you actually are: A range you have to hit, a mass budget you cannot exceed, an environment the part has to survive. From there we work out what has to be true of the device — wavelength, package, optical power, drive conditions — and whether it can be built.
If a standard part fits, we point you at it and the conversation is short. If it does not, we take the requirement to the process engineers who would have to make it. We come back with what is achievable, what is not, and what it would cost you in schedule to find out.
Then we stay on it — samples, qualification, test documentation, and into volume production. The same person the whole way.
Who you work with
One point of contact, with an engineering organization behind it.
Your requirement is handled by one U.S.-based contact who stays with it from first inquiry through to production. That means reading the specification, taking it to the manufacturer’s process engineers, and coming back with the answer directly. The person who quotes you is the person accountable for the result.
Behind that contact sits a 260-person engineering and manufacturing organization running epitaxy, chip fabrication and module assembly under one roof in Taoyuan. One number to call, with a vertically integrated manufacturer’s depth behind it.
For a component that will sit inside your product for years, knowing exactly who is on the other end of it is worth a great deal.
Manufacturing partners
Chosen for one reason: They own their process.
Most laser module suppliers buy their die from somebody else, which caps what they can change for you. Vertical integration is our first filter on any manufacturing partner. The two entities that cover what we supply today are both part of Arima Group, which has been manufacturing in Taiwan since 1989.
Arima Lasers Corp
- Role Primary partner
- Building lasers since 1998
- Location Taoyuan, Taiwan
- Employees 260
- Partners 120+ · 20+ industries
- Quality IATF 16949
A vertically integrated laser diode manufacturer, in production since 1998. It runs its own epitaxy, fabricates its own chips, and assembles its own modules. That is why a non-standard wavelength here is a process question rather than a procurement one.
Its published 2026 company profile reports more than 120 partners across more than 20 industries, in the Americas, Europe and Asia. Product lines include drone-compatible LiDAR, laser rangefinders, UAV laser altimeters, infrared laser diodes and hermetically sealed TO-CAN packages.
Arima Communications Corp
- Role RF & SATCOM
- Founded 1999
- Shipped 220M+ devices
- Model ODM
An original design manufacturer with volume history behind it. The lines relevant here are RF and SATCOM hardware: Ku-band AESA T/R modules with 32-channel beamforming, X-band power amplifiers, Ku- and Ka-band LEO SATCOM PA/LNA, SATCOM front-end modules and mmWave radar.
We expect this list to grow. Where a requirement is better served by a manufacturer we do not currently represent, we will say so.
Quality & supply chain
Certified to an automotive standard, sourced from an allied country.
IATF 16949 is the quality management standard the automotive industry uses, and it is a harder bar than a general-purpose system. It demands documented process control, traceability and defect-prevention discipline rather than end-of-line inspection.
Manufacturing is in Taoyuan, Taiwan. For programs working to reduce exposure to Chinese-origin optoelectronic components, that is the relevant fact about where these parts come from.

Certifications are held by Arima Lasers Corp and are listed as published in its 2026 company profile. That profile also records annual supplier audits, a documented business-continuity system, and product liability insurance on key product lines. Arima Lasers’ customers and partners include Honeywell, Bosch, MACOM, Leica and OSRAM.
